Mimi – Nails
Mimi has been with Mitchell Wade Salon since the very first day they opened their doors 12 years ago. She is a talented nail specialist with a passion for what she does. “I am able to use my artistic ability to beautify but can apply my scientific biological knowledge to truly improve the health of my client’s nails,” said Mimi.

Mimi has an impressive background with a Pre-Med Degree from Indiana State University and education at Orlando VoTech where she trained with Creative Nail Design Products and saw the evolution of Solar Nails and the arrival of the first Acrylic line with UV filters.

Mimi is an EZ Flow Nail Systems and NSI Nail Systems expert with specialized training from Tammy Taylor, Pinnacle, Star Nail, and Backscratchers. She was ranked Top 10 out of 200+ participants in the Ace Beauty Nail Competition in 1997. She is constantly challenging herself to balance science and art within her profession and has a knack for staying true to clientele needs without going too far. “Natural is key!” Mimi says.

As an industry veteran and having been with Mitchell Wade Salon since its founding days Mimi believes that Mitchell Wade is very different from the average salon. What makes Mitchell Wade unique is their dedication to keeping today’s highest standards in the Beauty Industry – and the overall goal of making a difference! She is proud to wear the Mitchell Wade “classic black” uniform and values the family environment and professionalism of the Salon.

Mimi can be described as a “Powerhouse Personality” bringing both brains and personality to the team at Mitchell Wade Salon. Her healthy sense of humor with clients and fellow co-workers and extensive knowledge of nail care make a killer combination!

Mimi has experience with Shellac applications and is excited to be on the forefront of innovations such as this that shape the future of the Nail Industry. In the future Mimi hopes to work with Creative Nails as an education ambassador. Her career idol is Angie Baxter who she describes as the “Greatest nail tech ever” who just never knew it.

Mimi has a strong sense of “la familia” that extends to her great relationships and strong connections with clients and co-workers at Mitchell Wade. When she is not hard at work with her Mitchell Wade family she can be found playing with her three dogs Tarzan, Chloe and George W. who she considers family as well!
